I always wished there was a secret handbook for life. One with all of the answers. One that told you what you could expect, what problems you would face and how to handle each one. I entered adulthood feeling unprepared. Unsure of what I ‘should’ be doing, feeling, thinking. Feeling lost. I didn’t know life could be so hard.

As time went on more tools became available - books, podcasts, and of course numerous online resources. And all of this information helped me a lot. But it wasn’t enough. I needed to meet other people who were living proof of this wisdom. I needed have a vision. I needed to see what I was learning embodied -so I could embody it too.

I needed to see possibilities.

I needed to ask questions.

I needed connection.

I needed a mentor.

Someone with wisdom about life. Not just ‘academics’ or ‘hard skills’, but the so called ‘soft’ ones. Wisdom about the seasons of life. Wisdom about some of the things that I needed support for - anxiety, panic attacks, finding my passions and purpose, parenting, emotional regulation, grief - just to name a few. There are so many important life skills that are not taught.

When I met my mentors I started to live my life in colour. Spending time with someone else who had been through what I was going through was everything. Someone who takes an interest in you, really listens and can guide and support you.

You don’t have to do this life alone. There are helpers all around us. Resources that lie within each one of us. Each person with something unique to offer and a story to tell. That’s why I created this space. A space with mentors. A space with helpers. A space with answers. A space with possibility. Teachers are needed outside of the classroom too. In the real, true classroom - life.
